Announcement

The Third International Conference on Applied Mathematics and Informatics (ICAMI 2017) is dedicated to the memory of Professor Alexander Vasil’ev (1962-2016). He was one of the founders of ICAMI series, served as a member of the Program Committee for two previous ICAMI events (2010 and 2013) and represented the University of Bergen in the REALMA Network.

ICAMI 2017 will be organized during November 26 – December 1, 2017 in San Andrés Island, Colombia within the framework of the REALMA Network. This conference is supported by the Colombian Section of SIAM and will be endorsed by 12 Colombian universities.

ICAMI 2017 will be hosted by the community of Colombian scholars, engineers and other specialists working in the field of applied mathematics and the related areas of informatics and computer science.

The conference will include plenary lectures, mini-symposia, peer reviewed contributed papers and a posters session. We will also publish an Abstract Book of all contributions presented at the conference.

This year, there will be an Honorable Special Session

“FORUM of Analysis, Geometry and Mathematical Physics”

that intends to cover the wide range of professional expertise of Professor Alexander Vasil’ev.

We encourage everyone interested in attending ICAMI 2017 to submit contributions for this Honorable Special Session

The goal of ICAMI 2017 is to bring together mathematicians, engineers and other specialists from a variety of related disciplines, which are at the forefront of their research fields, to exchange original ideas and present high-level unpublished research in the areas of applied mathematics, informatics, and other related fields.

The working language of the conference is ENGLISH.

However, special sessions in SPANISH can also be organized for groups of 3-5 oral presentations within an underlying Thematic Section or Mini-symposium.

In any case, all abstracts, slides and posters must be written in ENGLISH.

The purpose of ICAMI 2017 is not limited to the arrangement of enriching lectures, short communications and posters presentations. We consider equally important to create a pleasant environment in which the participants can discuss diverse topics of their professional interest with other delegates, make new friends, and meet the old ones. We are confident that the participation in the conference will bring you valued professional and cultural experience.

Contributions with focus on the results of interdisciplinary projects
and/or involving young researchers are especially welcome.
